SH1MMER is an exploit capable of completely unenrolling enterprise-managed Chromebooks. It was found by the Mercury Workshop team and released on Friday the 13th, 2023.

You Will Need


A USB/SD drive/card with at least 1 GB of storage.

A personal computer with administrator permissions on Windows or macOS.

Finding Your Chromebook Board Name


This can be done with the following steps:

Downloading a Shim


You can download a shim for your board name at chrome100.dev (CURRENTLY DOWN, SORRY).

Building the Shim


You can build your shim with a web builder (Wax4Web).

Flashing the USB Drive


You will need your built shim from the web builder and the Chromebook Recovery Utility Chrome extension.
